This weekend try a classic: The GODFATHER cocktail from WhiskEy Cocktails with Brian Van Flandern

The GODFATHER’s cocktail origins are somewhat in dispute. However the most popular version is that is was created in the 1970’s after the release of the movie by the same name. According to Disarrono the cocktail was Marlon Brando’s favorite drink. Amaretto is an Italian almond liqueur flavored with Apricot Stones. When properly balanced (especially with an authentic Amaretto) it is a phenomenal libation. Enjoy one tonight!!

GODFATHER

2 oz BenRiach 10 Year Old Single-Malt whisky

¼ oz Luxardo Amaretto

Glassware: Old fashioned

Garnish: None

Method: Combine all ingredients in a mixing glass. Add large cubes of ice, stir thoroughly, and taste for balance. Strain into the serving glass and serve.

Until our next cocktail together…

Bottoms up!,
